Luxury group Kering has announced their decision to stop using animal fur in their designs, starting with their fall 2022 collections. Kering's labels include well-known luxury brands like Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, and Saint Laurent.

Gucci was the first of the group to go fur-free in 2017.

In a press release, Kering's CEO François-Henri Pinault wrote, "The time has now come to take a further step forward by ending the use of fur in all our collections. The world has changed, along with our clients, and luxury naturally needs to adapt to that."

In addition to going fur-free, the company addresses the luxury industry's other environmental impacts and issues. Kering has started a Regenerative Fund for Nature, published Bioversity strategies & targets, and released a new report on creating a circular economy.

The luxury group's efforts are refreshing and a step towards transforming the industry for the better.
